
Aadar Multi-Investment Company Limited, registered under the Companies Act 2063 with the Company Registrar's Office, Tripureshwor, under Registration No. 164726/073/074 and Internal Revenue Office Tax Payer Service Center, New Road under Permanent Account No. 605988185, is probably the first End User Based Crowd Funded Project in the Asian continent. This company was established with the equal investment of 522 businessmen living in the Mahabaudha area, especially those engaged in wholesale trade of Chinese goods.
The availability of minimum facilities required for wholesale trade such as transportation, warehouse, parking, goods transportation, open space and security in the Mahabodhi area was decreasing and problems in house rent and goods transportation were increasing day by day, so the search for alternatives had begun. In the meantime, the great earthquake that occurred on Baisakh 12, 2072 BS turned the search for alternatives into an inevitable necessity. After the earthquake, in search of an alternative, wholesalers' organizations had requested the then government to arrange land. At that time, due to the need to engage in relief, rescue and reconstruction, the government was not in a position to provide land for traders in Kathmandu. That is why, instead of asking the government for land, we developed the concept of doing what we can for ourselves and associated interested traders with the Adar Savings and Loan Cooperative Society. We discussed this concept in detail in bilateral and multilateral discussions and made a blueprint for cooperation.
According to that blueprint, by creating an investment environment, in collaboration with the bank, we have purchased about 36 ropanis of land in K.M.P. 14, Balkhu in the name of the company of NRN's founding chairman Dr. Upendra Mahato and his family members. The company's first priority is transparency. For that, every transaction has been through a bank, and the price paid in the land purchase process has been considered the transaction price and taxes have been paid. The company is constructing a commercial building named Adar Trade Mahal on the said land, subject to the existing laws, 100% tax payment and within the scope prescribed by law.
